Bret, the initial founder, is VRC's visionary and technical leader. His interest in robotics dates to his undergraduate days at MIT. In 1999, he recognized that software and technology had finally reached the "cost performance threshold point" that would make household robots feasible.
  • Founder and VP of research and development for Advanced Processing Laboratories, Inc., designers and producers of signal processing and telemetry systems.
  • Co-winner of 1993 IEEE Gorden Bell Price in the price/performance category of super computing.
  • Founder, CIO and CFO of United States Association of Flying Clubs, Inc., providing Internet and telephony scheduling for aircrafts operated by flying clubs.
  • Member of Board of Directors for Digital Transport Systems, Inc.; acquired by WG Wavetek.
  • B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with concentration in artificial intelligence and robotics.
 
Tony Koselka: Founder and COO PDF Print E-mail
Tony is responsible for operations, mechanical and electrical engineering, and coordinating with VRC's partners.
  • Founder of CyberGear, Inc., a virtual reality exercise bike company. Conceived, designed, and built a VR product line of interactive fitness equipment. Involved in acquisition of CyberGear by Tectrix Fitness Equipment.
  • Senior Director of Engineering at Tectrix/Cybex International before and after Cybex acquired Tectrix.
  • Senior Engineer Consultant with Design Continuum. Designed products ranging from surgical devices and industrial servo controllers to the Reebok pump shoe.
  • Co-winner of 1992 Industrial Design Excellence Awards (sponsored by Business Week and presented by the Industrial Designers Society of America) for Rollerblade's Metroblade inline skates and for Spaldings' Airflex pump baseball glove.
  • B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
